Laggan village

At the heart of the village is a pottery coffee shop, run for 25 years by the same family. It consists of converted farm buildings clustered around a courtyard to enjoy a bite to eat.

Inside, you can enjoy soup, scones, sandwiches and cakes under high wooden beams. The roomy stone barn also harbours a gift shop which sells beautifully designed knitwear, muted tartan crockery and luxurious toiletries.

Did you know?

Series 4 of Netflix’s The Crown and the 007 Bond movie, No Time To Die features some of the stunning scenic locations from the Laggan area.

Badenoch is famous for being the region where the Gaelic language survived the longest – you’ll still find some areas where it is still spoken to this day!

In a field east of the hotel, you’ll find a square pillar made of stone blocks in the shape of a small tower. This is a memorial commemorating the lives of soldiers from the First and Second World War and it has been standing for over 100 years.
